Privacy policy
This policy explains what information Assay ("Assay", "we", "us") handles when you visit assayfinance.com or contact us. We've kept it short because we collect very little.
What we collect
When you browse the site: nothing directly. We don't use cookies, analytics, advertising pixels or tracking scripts, and the site has no forms or accounts.
When you email us (for example at founders@assayfinance.com): your email address, name and whatever you choose to write. We use it only to reply to you and to follow up on the conversation you started.
The product demo on the homepage runs entirely in your browser. It uses fictional names and numbers and sends nothing to us.
Services that see basic technical data
Like any website, a few providers we rely on receive standard technical information, such as your IP address and browser type, when your browser connects to them:
- GitHub Pages hosts the site and may keep server logs for security. See GitHub's privacy statement.
- Google Fonts serves the typefaces. See Google's privacy policy.
- Our email provider stores emails you send us.
We don't control these providers' practices, and we don't receive their logs.
How we use and share information
We use what you send us to reply, to arrange demos or conversations you ask for, and to keep a record of those conversations. We don't sell personal information, and we don't share it except with the service providers above, with your permission, or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep emails for as long as the conversation is relevant, and delete them when they're no longer needed or when you ask us to.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Depending on where you live, laws such as the EU GDPR or Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance may give you further rights. Email founders@assayfinance.com and we'll respond within 30 days.
Children
The site is for banks, businesses and professionals. It isn't directed at children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we change how we handle information, for example when we launch a product that processes customer data, we'll update this page and the date below. A product deployed at a bank will be covered by a separate agreement with that bank.
